Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist. I have 22 years of experience as a therapist and over 35 years of experience working with children and families. I provide services to children ages 3-18 as well as individual services for adults.

My approach to therapy

Every client has their own way of relating to others and learning, which impacts what kind of therapy will be effective. I come alongside my clients to explore, encourage and support them in the therapeutic process. The focus of treatment is to develop a healthy sense of self to best navigate through personal journeys and relationships. Together we process events and experiences that have impacted a person's ability to function as they would like

What you can expect from me

Most people report learning different approaches to challenges they face on a regular basis. This can be be through improved communication skills, coping strategies and identification of thoughts and feelings that hold them back. Sometimes it requires commitment to self, upholding personal values and understanding how to look at past to identify patterns of behaviors. We use that information as a launching pad to the future rather than something that holds them back. There are times when instead of taking something away from sessions clients are able to leave destructive behaviors, distorted thoughts and negative self talk in the office leaving lighter and less stressed.
