Meg Abbott

I graduated with a masters in art therapy and counseling from Drexel University in 2015 and have been in private practice in Athens, GA for almost 10 years now. I especially enjoy working with people around issues of anxiety and neurodiversity, such as autism, ADHD, and OCD. I became a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia in 2019 and a registered and board certified art therapist in 2020.

In addition to art therapy, I also provide traditional talk psychotherapy. I often draw upon mindfulness-based therapies, narrative therapy, IFS- informed therapy, ERP and CBT.

It is my hope that every client can show up exactly as they are and feel seen and heard. I see therapy as a collaborative process in which the client and I work together to achieve their goals.
