Great to meet you!

My name is Michaela Neff. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have worked in residential substance use facilities, intensive outpatient settings, and in outpatient therapy with diverse client populations. I am passionate about helping people through whatever life brings, as individuals or in relationships.

My approach to therapy

I sincerely believe that wholeness is worth pursuing, and that belief motivates my clinical decisions. To me, self-dignity and self-care are vital elements of well-being, and I aim to support them in therapy. My foundation is in existential therapy, and I draw from a range of time-tested approaches, incorporating strategies from various respected models to meet each client’s unique needs. I believe therapy is most meaningful when it’s positive, client-centered, and grounded in real human connection.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me they feel genuinely cared for and more hopeful after just one session. I focus on building trust and rapport, and I’m ready to explore the deep stuff whenever you feel open and safe enough to go there. I’ll always encourage, but never push—you set the pace.

While none of us can avoid struggle, I don’t believe anyone should have to experience unnecessary suffering longer than they’re willing to. Most of all, clients say they feel respected and supported in our work together—and to me, that’s exactly how therapy should feel.
