Great to meet you!

After obtaining my clinical degree, I spent many years working with children, youth, and families in a variety of mental health settings. When I became a mother, my perspective of mental health services (among many other things), drastically shifted. I believe that the transition into motherhood and all that it entails physically, emotionally, socially, etc. is truly life-changing and one requiring support in all areas of life; I am here to be a part of your journey. In addition to bringing my professional experience and expertise to therapy, I also bring in my own vulnerability with my personal experience as a parent. I hope you feel that I am collaborative, relatable, and deeply passionate. I am also known to enjoy using humor in session.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy from a collaborative and strengths-based perspective. After getting to know you and what makes you who your are, in addition to your background, experiences, and goals for therapy, I pull from various clinical modalities to help support you where you are. I use a blend of techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness practices, among others, always tailored to your needs.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I like to take time to get to know you. I want to learn about your background and personal history, interests, and desire to seek out therapy at this time. I hope to make you feel welcome, heard, and supported, and set the stage for a collaborative working relationship. I also like discuss your goals for therapy and your vision for our work together.
