Great to meet you!

My name is Nicholas, and I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specializing in pediatric populations. Before becoming a nurse and subsequently a nurse practitioner, I had a decade-long career in the technology field, taking on various roles. After that initial career, I realized it was time to pursue a different passion: caring for others as a nurse. However, I was eager for more, and everything I enjoyed about nursing motivated me to advance my career further. This led me to graduate school and become a Nurse Practitioner. In both roles, I’ve had the privilege of working inpatient at Northern Light Health: Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine, as both a psychiatric nurse and a psychiatric provider serving children aged 5 to 18. I’m passionate about helping this vulnerable population and strive to empower my patients by providing them with stability through a combination of therapy and medication management.

My approach to therapy

I firmly believe in collaborative problem-solving, and I maintain that the best outcomes are achieved through alliances and teamwork. My role is to conduct research and provide evidence-based solutions. In return, I kindly request your open and honest opinions about your needs so that we can effectively assist you in reaching your goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can anticipate leaving a session with a heightened sense of clarity, comprehension, and empowerment. My goal is to foster a nurturing and receptive atmosphere where clients feel heard and appreciated. Through insightful conversations, I guide clients in delving into their thoughts, pinpointing their objectives, and formulating actionable steps to accomplish them. Whether it’s acquiring fresh perspectives, refining their strategies, or simply boosting their confidence in their chosen path, each session is meticulously crafted to equip clients with the tools, viewpoints, and encouragement they need to carry forward.
