Great to meet you!

I got my start as a counselor working in the community with youth & families where I was trained in the “Wraparound” model of care. Prior to working as a counselor, I worked in a demanding industry and understand the stresses that come with working a high-pressure job. I understand the importance of maintaining “work-life harmony” between family life, recreation, health, and faith, which are the timbers, or beams, that support each layer of life.

My approach to therapy

No person is an island and I believe in helping people build their natural support systems, which include family, friends, teammates, and colleagues to name a few. I want to help clients identify personal strengths for growth in their relationships and personal ambitions. My approach is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps clients identify conflicting thoughts, feelings, and actions. Usually, overcoming these conflicts allows us to move forward in all areas of life.

What you can expect from me

Career-driven people, especially men, tend to struggle with balancing work and life. As clients walk away from counseling sessions, I want them to learn skills that help them develop “work-life harmony” that will lead to a meaningful life. This includes building on their relationships, developing new relationships, and staying true to their core values despite the storms of life. I want to help clients identify their strengths and work through conflict that keeps them from moving forward.
