Great to meet you!

Many people come to therapy because they're tired of carrying something that no one else can see. On the outside, life may look successful or "fine," yet inside they feel anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or caught in painful patterns they can't seem to change. Therapy offers a place to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of those experiences.

My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to be yourself, explore difficult emotions, and better understand the patterns that have shaped your life. Together, we'll work to address anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or low self-esteem while also developing practical tools you can use in everyday life.

I integrate psychodynamic psychotherapy, EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness to help you process unresolved experiences, respond to challenges with greater resilience, quiet self-criticism, and build a stronger sense of confidence and authenticity. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help you create lasting change and experience yourself and your relationships in a more fulfilling way.

Growing up in a bilingual, bicultural (Spanish-speaking) family shaped how I understand identity, culture, belonging, and resilience. I appreciate the challenges of navigating multiple worlds and strive to bring curiosity, cultural sensitivity, and genuine respect to every person I meet.

I've worked with adults and couples facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. Whether you're starting therapy for the first time or returning after previous work, I hope you'll find a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to build a life that feels more connected, meaningful, and authentic.

My approach to therapy

I believe that lasting change comes from more than simply managing symptoms. Together, we'll work to understand the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped how you see yourself and the world, while developing practical ways to feel calmer, more confident, and more connected in your daily life.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and personalized to your unique needs and goals. I integrate psychodynamic psychotherapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness to help you process unresolved experiences, reduce anxiety and emotional distress, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're feeling stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by life's challenges, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can help you move beyond surviving toward living with greater clarity, resilience, and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to feel nervous or unsure about what to expect. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a relaxed, supportive environment. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and never judged.

We'll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope will be different in your life. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, important life experiences, relationships, and personal strengths so I can begin to understand the whole picture—not just your symptoms.

Together, we'll identify your goals and discuss an approach that feels right for you. You'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, share any concerns, and decide whether working together feels like a good fit. By the end of our first meeting, my hope is that you'll leave with a clearer understanding of yourself, a sense of direction, and the reassurance that you don't have to face life's challenges alone.
