Great to meet you!
Are you feeling weighed down by memories or experiences that hold you back, battling persistent sadness or emptiness, and dealing with anxious thoughts that make daily life feel daunting? You are not alone, and I commend your courage in seeking support. Seeking therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know you don’t have to do it alone.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can bring your whole self, your struggles, your hopes, and your strengths, without judgment.
I was born and raised in South Africa and later served in the United States Navy. I have worked with military personnel and their families, where I gained firsthand experience supporting veterans navigating PTSD, depression, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. During this time, I also established a grief and loss group to support veterans coping with the death of friends and loved ones.
My professional path has led me to work in a variety of settings, including community mental health, where I supported individuals and families struggling with substance use, and programs serving transitional-age youth facing personality disorders, developmental challenges, depression, and anxiety. I have also had the privilege of working with couples and families as they navigate the complexities of relationships and healing.
