Great to meet you!

When parents are overwhelmed, anxious, or frequently arguing with their teen, having concrete strategies and someone who genuinely understands the landscape of the situation can make all the difference. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working directly with adolescents as a 7th-grade teacher and a court-appointed youth advocate. I understand the unique pressures facing youth and am experienced in building the trust necessary to bypass typical adolescent resistance. By addressing anxiety at its root, I help middle and high schoolers build resilience, regulate emotions, and communicate better with their families.

And with adults my primary area of focus is on chronic, unresolved stress that transforms into professional burnout or severe insomnia. Having provided therapy for both teens and adults in a primary care setting, I have seen firsthand how much this stress impacts daily life. As a Certified UC Berkeley Sleep Therapist, I can actively work with you to rewire your sleep patterns and tackle the trauma or stress keeping you awake.

I earned my Master of Social Welfare at UC Berkeley in 2022, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in evidence-based treatments including EMDR, ACT, CBT, and targeted Sleep Therapy. Whether you are a professional dealing with burnout or an adult desperate for a full night's sleep, I utilize therapies designed to get to the root of the problem.

My approach to therapy

Through exploring awareness of your patterns that cause you to feel stuck or suffer, we can incorporate tools from evidence-based approaches to mitigate the impact of those patterns as we explore new, healthier pathways that align with your values. My background and approach can help you find relief and move toward alignment with healthy behaviors. I believe that a positive therapeutic experience comes from your ability to show up fully as yourself in the therapy room and welcome all of your intersecting identities.

I hope that through this process you develop your inherent strengths, find relief, and feel more confident in your endeavors.

What you can expect from me

I bring a grounded and non-judgmental approach, along with some humor, into our sessions. I endeavor to partner with you towards a pace that feels comfortable, as well as to collaborate on a plan for our sessions that will address your major concerns and motivations for therapy.
