Great to meet you!

Hello! I am Dr. Sasha Mondragon and completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2012 and my postdoctoral fellowship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas in 2013. My postdoctoral fellowship specialty was treating trauma and anxiety among Veterans. Following my training, I worked at a private practice in Pittsburgh, PA for many years and currently own a private practice in Texas. I am honored to help people navigate life transitions, stressors, trauma, grief, and symptoms of anxiety and depression.

My approach to therapy

I have been a licensed psychologist since 2013 and have provided trauma-informed therapy since 2010. I began providing therapy (under supervision) in 2008. Trauma-informed therapy means that I prioritize my clients' experiences of safety, trust, and the quality of relationship they have with me. I provide treatment at a pace that feels helpful (challenging, yet tolerable and safe). Each session is thoughtfully tailored to the personality and current needs of the person I am meeting with. I utilize various evidence-based treatment methods to meet the unique needs of each client I serve. Your relationship with yourself (the way you think and feel about yourself and the degree to which you know and trust yourself) is one that will become healthier and more meaningful as you identify and experience emotions in the safe space therapy provides.
