Great to meet you!

Embarking on a journey towards healing takes time. This is a very important decision that you are making. Therefore, I want to support you in the very best ways that I can. I believe that having an empathetic, non-judgmental, and accepting Therapist listening to you while you share your story, is key when it comes to receving the support you need. So it is important for me to share with you, the reason why I became a therapist. I wanted to create the very environment that I craved and needed after growing up with little guidance on how to manage intense big feelings, that I did not understand. I became a Therapist to provide a space where healing can occur. I am driven by my intense desire to guide others to find the answers and light within themselves that will lead to ultimate self-acceptance and self-love. I am honored that you are here and I look forward to embarking on this journey with you.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approach to providing therapy is aimed at working with you individually 1:1, over an estimated length of time, to get to the root cause of a problem that is creating unwanted and uncomfortable symptoms. I use a combination of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to help treat mental health disorders that these symptoms can sometimes develop into. The modalities that I utilize include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectal Behavior Therapy), and IPT (Interpersonal Therapy

What you can expect from me

During our first session together, (which is an initial consultation) I will gather information from you to get a better understanding of what you have been experiencing that is getting in the way of you functioning at your highest optimal level. I will also ask you what you want to gain from treatment to be successful in your healing journey. I will also review information from the assessments you completed (which will be sent to you prior to our first consultation), which also helps me to make an appropriate level of care recommendation to best serve your needs. This initial consultation can take up to 90 minutes. After I have gathered all the information and we determine together, that virtual telehealth therapy with me will be a good fit for you, you can expect me to ask when you would like to schedule your first therapy session. This will start our journey of working together to have you begin to write the greatest comeback story for your life!
