Great to meet you!

Shelby Champagne, owner of FTS Counseling and Consulting PLLC, is an LCSW licensed in NC and CT. With over 15 years of experience working with clients of all ages who are going through life transitions, a variety of mental health struggles, and life crises. Her goal is to empower you with the support and tools you need to live the life you desire.

My approach to therapy

I utilize transparency, humor, psychoeducation, and clear goal setting within my work. I find most clients I work with also find it helpful to leave session with action items for the time between sessions.

The list of areas I can help with is long, but some examples include: depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, life changes, grief/loss, parenting, family/caregivers of those with mental health or substance abuse issues, pregnancy and infertility related issues, and diagnostic clarification/assessment.

What you can expect from me

In our first session (intake appointment) I will ask a lot of questions. This is a largely information gathering time for me, where you get to share a lot about yourself, your currently struggles, and your goals for therapy. You will leave that appointment with a completed treatment plan, plan for frequency of appointments, and 1st "regular" therapy session scheduled!
