Smart Duru is psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 10 years of combined healthcare experience. He attended University of Derby, England for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a master’s in psychiatric mental health nursing with Distinction. Smart Duru obtained a Master of Science Degree with specialization in Psychiatry mental health Nurse Practitioner. He has extensive experience in Mental health, Primary care, Sub/Post-Acute Care, Long Term Care, Correctional Medicine, and Family Medicine.

Smart Duru values his time creating a partnership with his patients through open communication. He provides evidence-based and accessible psychiatric services to manage conditions like depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and takes a holistic approach to care.

Clients should expect a kind, complete open minded, non-judgmental, involved, practical approach to the care of their mental health.

We will dive deep into their mental health history, and as much as the client permits, we will take a retrospective look into their childhood experiences leading up to present day to find the best evidenced based approach to achieve our set goals.
