Great to meet you!

With over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, one thing remains constant, which is that I take a person-centered approach to therapy, valuing an individualized process that honors one’s strengths, abilities, and resilience. Though not an all-inclusive list, areas of clinical focus that I have extensive experience in includes anxiety disorders, OCD, individuals who have experienced or are living with psychosis, and substance use disorders.

Theoretical approaches and interventions align with concepts of relational therapy, stages of change, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, self-determination, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and harm reduction.

Ultimately, a connection built on trust and hope will be foundational to our work together, and modalities will be tailored to your needs. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside someone in their journey to wellness, and hope to have the opportunity to work with you!

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is built on developing a foundation of trust and connection that allows for the vulnerability it takes to grow. Growing, whether in wellness or recovery, means something different to each person, which is why the approach to therapy is unique to each individual. I am passionate about helping you to find your peace, whatever that may mean to you. My goal is is to help you define and work towards your own recovery and emotional wellness goals through providing therapy in a way that is collaborative and individualized to you.

What you can expect from me

In session, you can expect from me patience, compassion, and authenticity in whichever approach is taken. You can expect to work towards really clarifying and defining what it is that you want, and a collaborative effort to help get you there. We will maximize our time in sessions, and discuss how to integrate the work you're doing into your everyday life, so that when you are ready to complete therapy, you feel empowered to maintain the progress you've made, while never ashamed to return if you need support again at a future point in time. Life is hard, finding peace can be hard, and you don't have to do it alone.
