Great to meet you!

I take a collaborative, grounded approach to my work, meeting clients where they are while helping them move toward meaningful, lasting change. I believe effective work happens when people feel understood, respected, and supported—not judged or rushed.

My style is warm, thoughtful, and practical. Sessions are a space where you can slow down, reflect honestly, and build insight while also gaining tools you can use in real life. I balance compassion with gentle challenge, helping clients identify patterns, strengthen self-trust, and develop strategies that align with their values and goals.

I work best with clients who are seeking greater clarity, emotional balance, and personal growth. Whether you’re navigating stress, transitions, relationships, or long-standing patterns, I tailor my approach to your unique needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method.

My strengths include creating a calm, supportive environment, asking insightful questions, and helping clients translate insight into action. I value transparency, collaboration, and ongoing growth—both for my clients and myself. Above all, my goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself and more confident in the direction you’re moving.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is practical, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients create meaningful change in ways that fit their lives.

Rather than focusing only on what’s going wrong, we also look at what’s already working. Using a solution-focused lens, we identify your strengths, past successes, and small, achievable steps that move you toward the life you want.

CBT and REBT help us explore how thoughts, beliefs, and interpretations influence emotions and behavior. Together, we examine unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge rigid or self-defeating beliefs, and practice more flexible, balanced ways of responding to life’s challenges. This work is always collaborative—you’re never told what to think, but supported in finding perspectives that feel more helpful and realistic.

Motivational Interviewing guides how I support change. I respect your autonomy and readiness, helping you clarify what matters most to you and strengthen your own motivation rather than pushing or pressuring. Change happens at your pace, with encouragement rather than judgment.

Overall, sessions are active and supportive, balancing insight with practical tools you can apply outside of counseling. My goal is to help you feel empowered, capable, and confident in making changes that align with your values.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a space that feels safe, supportive, and collaborative. We’ll start at a pace that feels comfortable for you—there’s no pressure to share everything at once or to have the “right” words.

I’ll ask some questions to better understand what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for from counseling, and any relevant background that may be helpful. This isn’t an interrogation or a checklist—it’s a conversation, and you’re always in control of what you choose to share.

I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you have about the counseling process, and talk through practical details like goals, boundaries, and what ongoing sessions might look like. If helpful, we may begin identifying patterns, strengths, or initial areas of focus, but the primary goal of the first session is connection and clarity—not fixing everything right away.

Many clients leave the first session feeling a sense of relief, greater understanding of themselves, and a clearer idea of next steps. Above all, my aim is for you to feel heard, respected, and supported as we decide together whether working together feels like a good fit.
