Great to meet you!

I am Stephen O’Neill, LSCSW, MBA, a licensed clinical social worker with over two decades of experience in behavioral and mental health. I specialize in evidence-based approaches to help clients navigate life’s challenges, improve relationships, and achieve personal growth. I am passionate about whole-person care, integrating mental health, well-being, and practical solutions tailored to each client’s needs. I believe in fostering a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their concerns and develop meaningful change. I will see you, I will hear you, and I will walk alongside you. My approach is grounded in collaboration, empowerment, and respect for each person’s unique journey. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing, playing video games, tabletop gaming, and cars.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with a foundation in unconditional positive regard, believing that every individual has the capacity for growth and change. I emphasize clients’ strengths, helping them build on their resilience and capabilities to navigate life’s challenges. My therapeutic style integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, Solution-Focused Therapy to develop practical strategies for achieving goals, and Mind-Body techniques to promote holistic well-being. I tailor my approach to each client, creating a collaborative and empowering space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their concerns and find meaningful solutions. I am committed to fostering a supportive, nonjudgmental environment that encourages self-discovery, healing, and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave therapy sessions with practical tools and strategies to navigate challenges, improve relationships, and enhance overall well-being. Through a strengths-based approach, they will gain greater self-awareness, confidence, and the ability to recognize and build on their own resilience. Sessions will focus on identifying and reframing unhelpful thought patterns through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), developing solution-oriented skills to tackle problems effectively, and integrating mind-body techniques to promote emotional and physical balance. Clients will also experience a supportive and nonjudgmental space where they can explore their concerns openly and receive personalized guidance. Over time, they will build greater emotional regulation, healthier coping mechanisms, and a clearer sense of direction in their lives. Most importantly, they will feel heard, valued, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward lasting change.
