Great to meet you!

I am coming up on 28 years of clinical experience. Over the years, helping people deal with traumas has become my clinical focus. Helping people heal and cope with trauma is extremely rewarding. Along the way, I was honored to share my research on trauma at national and international conferences.

I have also had the honor of helping military service members, their families and children. I have worked with all branches.

I have a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am a certified EMDR child specialist. (EMDR in person only)

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is down-to-earth. I try to meet people where they are in life and collaborate with whatever approach seems like the right fit. Normally, a person gets a "Birds Eye" view of their lives in the process: I then help them decide what is the right path for them.

I am not bossy or directive. Some people prefer talk therapy. Some prefer art therapy or realize couples' counseling might be beneficial. Sometimes a combo of different approaches helps people heal. There is no "one size fits all" approach. The goal is to make treatment fit each individual's needs.

What you can expect from me

Counseling can be emotionally challenging. People get supportive sessions. I trust people as their own experts and trust their own intuition. People with get unconditional support.
