Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m S. Kyle Cardwell, PsyD, LMHC, LPCC, LPC, LCPC, LCMHC. I’ve worked in the mental health field since 2008 and bring over 17 years of clinical and leadership experience to my practice. I’ve held several leadership roles in behavioral health, including serving as CEO of a residential treatment center. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults facing anxiety, OCD, trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions. I’m passionate about helping people understand themselves more fully and make meaningful, lasting change. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence-based care. I hold a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), as well as master’s degrees in Counseling, Theology, and Public Policy and Administration. I also have a strong interest in helping patients navigate challenges related to their Christian faith. While my perspective is rooted in Christian understanding, I welcome individuals of all faiths and strive to create a space that is both respectful and meaningful.

I am licensed to provide therapy in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, South Dakota, Iowa, Texas, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia,North Carolina, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Maine. I can also provide telehealth services to individuals located in Vermont and Florida.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and rooted in both insight and practical tools. I help clients explore current challenges while also looking at underlying patterns, past experiences, and the deeper “why” behind thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work frequently with adolescents and young adults navigating identity, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I also value supporting clients working through faith-related questions, especially within a Christian framework. While my own background is rooted in Christian understanding, I welcome clients of all faiths and strive to create a safe, respectful space where your beliefs and values are honored. Therapy with me is about being heard, gaining clarity, and creating meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Patients can expect a space that is safe, respectful, and focused on their goals. I work to help individuals gain clarity, understand the patterns influencing their thoughts and behaviors, and develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. Whether addressing current stressors or deeper emotional struggles, sessions are tailored to each person’s needs and values. Many patients walk away with increased self-awareness, improved coping strategies, and a stronger sense of direction—particularly when navigating relationships, life transitions, or faith-related questions.
