Great to meet you!

I have experience working in the mental health field, providing support to individuals and families across the lifespan – from infancy to late adulthood. My professional & personal background encompasses work with individuals facing serious mental illness, intellectual disabilities, substance use disorders, forensic involvement, and challenges related to the child welfare system.

I received a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from the University of Bridgeport. Then I continued to postgraduate training at the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy & Training, where I became a certified Gestalt Therapist. I also trained in Functional Family Therapy and serve as a certified trainer in Opioid Overdose Prevention. I am fluent in Haitian Creole and strive to provide culturally responsive, compassionate care tailored to each individual and family I work with. I can be contacted at (347) 574-7588 and via email at [email protected]

My approach to therapy

My approach is focused on getting to know my clients and working with the here and now. My goal as a therapist is to guide you to your healing, knowing that you have the capacity to grow and heal when you become fully aware of your experience. I believe meaningful change isn't fostered through discussion alone; it's through experiential and collaborative work that will help you understand yourself on a deeper level and create meaningful and lasting changes that take place in a safe environment where exploration feels safe, respectful, and empowering, while also supporting you in gently stepping outside of old patterns.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to begin with a free consultation phone call, where we'll talk and explore whether we feel like a good fit to work together. If we decide to move forward, we'll schedule an intake session. During the intake session, I'll ask a series of questions to better understand your history, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. This helps us create a clear, shared direction for our work together. The sessions to follow you can expect a space that feels:

  • Safe and nonjudgmental — a setting where you can openly share without feeling the need to filter your thoughts, downplay your experiences, or feel compelled to "perform". Emotions, concerns, and personal stories are received with compassion and respect.
  • Present-centered — I focus on what's happening in the moment, helping you to connect current feelings and patterns to your lived experiences.
  • Collaborative — you’re not being analyzed from a distance; the experience is explored between you and me, side by side.
