Great to meet you!

I believe that counseling cannot be successful without honesty, openness to change, dedication, hard work, and strength. People come to counseling for many reasons, but most people want a “change” in their life. Please keep in mind this “change” may, at times, be challenging, difficult, and possibly painful. However, the goal should always be to bring about some positive change within you.

Therapy should provide a safe place to explore behaviors, thoughts, and feelings about yourself and others in your life. It allows you the opportunity to practice new ways of thinking and/or interacting in a safe environment before utilizing these skills in the “real world.”

Counseling is a process that facilitates exploration, clarification and identification of needs and helps you to make changes toward the attainment of life satisfaction and self-acceptance. I help you integrate using an array of therapeutic interventions that will hopefully yield the best results for you and the issues presented.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is built on trust and honesty (from both of us).

What you can expect from me

A genuine desire to assist you with your issues as I ask questions about current situation and past (as needed). Prior to end of session, we will decide if I am the best fit to assist you and, if so, we will discuss goals for treatment.
