Dr. Urania Poulis

I am a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology but took time off between college and graduate school to work. I used the time in between undergraduate and graduate school to work in an inpatient facility to try and understand the struggles that may overwhelm people and make day to day life stressful. I am a first generation Greek American woman and worked to finance my college career at Cornell. I am always learning from my patients and I believe that I make a difference in their lives.

I believe in working collaboratively with my patients. What matters is your experience of the world, as you live it( and have lived it). I am here to listen, observe, and offer my insights.

I hope a patient will leave the first session with me with a sense of feeling "heard" and not judged in any way. It is my intention to offer insight and understanding from the perspective of someone trained to listen objectively.
