Great to meet you!

Over the past decade, I've focused my life on gaining the skills and experiences needed to help patients live at their highest level of functioning. I've worked in settings like: community psychiatric hospitals, residential substance abuse rehab centers, non-profits, the public defenders office and the VA. I specialize in general mental health, with a niche in serious mental illness.

My approach to therapy

I approach clients as people, not diagnosis and that requires me to assess and address multiple aspects of a client's life. Therapy with me can involve traditional talk therapy and/or more active therapeutic activities like walking, grocery shopping, addressing organizational needs, playing basketball, practicing social skills, etc. I am experienced with treating clients with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and the challenges that come along with it.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be challenged in their way of thinking and to be asked questions that lead them to analyze their behaviors and choices. Goal setting is used and tailored to each person's presenting concerns. During and after the session, clients can expect to feel as though they have been held in a safe space, to feel validated, respected and held accountable. My approach is tailored to your needs and goals.
