Great to meet you!

As a Black man, I understand the unique experiences of Black men in America and the ways in which these experiences contribute to mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety and stress. I also recognize that Black men are diverse and are not a monolith. With this in mind, I believe that Black men deserve care that understands both the uniqueness and diversity of Black men’s experiences, while also having a cultural awareness of Black men’s mental health needs.

My approach to therapy

The therapy method that I use is known as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is a collaborative approach allowing you and I to identify the thoughts and feelings that are producing specific undesired behavioral outcomes. Identifying these thoughts in a safe space with me acting as a non-judgmental, objective advocate provides you with an environment where you can make real sustainable life changes.

What you can expect from me

My role is to help you navigate the gap between the life you have and the life you want to create. I do this through a process that validates your concerns and normalizes them, and provides you tools to create constructive and sustainable practices to transform what you desire into what you possess.
