Great to meet you!

My name is Zalen “Zee” Crowder, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II). I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and I am currently a PhD candidate in psychology, which allows me to bring both clinical depth and a broader, systems-informed perspective to the work I do with clients.

I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, abandonment, and life transitions. My approach is direct, compassionate, and results-oriented. I create a space where you can be fully seen and understood, while also being challenged in ways that support real, lasting change. I am especially attuned to the ways past experiences shape current patterns, and I work collaboratively with you to break cycles that no longer serve you.

I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds, including BIPOC communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, military and veteran populations, individuals in open or polyamorous relationships, and people with disabilities. I value authenticity, cultural awareness, and meeting you exactly where you are without judgment.

Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something different, therapy can be a powerful space to gain clarity, build confidence, and reconnect with yourself. My goal is to help you move forward with intention, not just insight.

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered approach, meaning I honor you as the expert of your own life and tailor therapy to fit your unique needs, goals, and pace. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, I integrate various evidence-based approaches to create a personalized path forward.

This integrative style allows me to meet you where you are while also helping you move beyond patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

In our work together, you can expect both support and thoughtful challenge. We will not only explore insight, but actively work toward integration so that change shows up in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a safe, nurturing, and nonjudgmental space where they feel supported in exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. My goal is to help you deepen your self-understanding, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.

I also believe that real growth requires movement. While I provide a supportive environment, I will also challenge you in intentional and constructive ways to help you break through patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Therapy with me is not just about insight. It is about integration and forward progress.

Whether we are working through deep wounds, navigating life transitions, or clarifying personal goals, my aim is for you to leave each session with practical takeaways, increased confidence, and a clearer sense of direction.
