Ziesha Waters-Carrico

Hello, my name is Ziesha Waters-Carrico, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Los Angeles, CA. I have spent my career working with people with symptoms of depression and anxiety that have become unmanageable. Using the Cognitive Behavior (CBT) approach, and other evidence-based practices, I assist clients with overcoming negative thinking and achieving personal growth.

I believe that everyone's experience with stress is different, which is why it is important to me to gain an understanding of your stressors and how they are affecting areas of your life. It is at that point that we decide the best approach to help achieve therapy goals. Commonly, I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Problem-Solving Therapy(PST), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Strength Based approaches to assist with overcoming life stressors.

It is important to me that my clients feel safe and supported while sharing some of the most vulnerable parts of themselves. I strive to create an environment that is filled with empathy and warmth. For me, client-therapist relationships should feel like a team and be used as a form of support. My style is to be direct, non-judgmental, supportive, and motivating throughout our work together. I also enjoy including a little humor in our sessions because sometimes we deserve a good laugh.
