Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I hold a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality Studies and specialize in working with people who feel that their sexual behavior is out-of-control or compulsive. I enjoy working with adults of all ages around a variety of other sexuality- and relationship-focused issues, including communication styles/skills, infidelity, identity development (sexual orientation/gender), and sexual trauma. I also have extensive experience working with folks who are facing challenges associated with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and life transitions.

I am proud to be a therapist who is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and am proud to be an ally to members of the kink, polyamory, and sex work communities. Therapy is for everyone! Regardless of what brings you here, I believe very strongly that all human beings are resilient, capable, and deserving of care and compassion.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is informed by psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral theories. This means that I'll work with you to help you develop 1) an awareness of your current thought processes, and 2) an understanding of how your life experiences have influenced the way you think. I'll offer you concrete tools to help you modify ways of coping that no longer serve you. I tend to be goal-oriented as a therapist, and we will revisit your goals often to ensure you feel you are getting what you need from our work. I want to empower you to make the meaningful, positive changes you're seeking.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will focus on getting to know you and what brings you into therapy at this time in your life. I offer a nonjudgemental space for you to share freely, while also allowing you to go at your own pace. We will work collaboratively to identify goals you want to work on and how I can best support you in your healing journey.
