Hello and welcome! I’m Beth, and I’m so glad you’re here and have taken the important first step toward self-care. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. You may be feeling like you've lost motivation or that your emotions have taken over, or perhaps you're worried about a child. Whatever challenges you're facing, EVERYONE deserves to lead a meaningful life. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can confront their struggles, find empowerment, and regain a sense of security to start living their best lives.
As a highly sensitive person (HSP) with strong empathy, I understand the importance of compassion. I'm a down-to-earth person who has my own struggles, just like everyone else. I have two children: a son who recently got married and a daughter currently in college. Between my family, including my husband, we certainly know how to drive each other crazy! I love spending time outdoors in nature, as it helps me stay balanced. The tools and strategies I share with my clients are ones I’ve used in my own life, and I believe my experiences as a therapist, educator, mother, wife, daughter, and friend make me a relatable ally for those I work with.
Before becoming a counselor, I spent the first 20 years of my career as a school teacher in Philadelphia. During that time, I was privy to many difficult situations in my students' homes, including various forms of abuse and neglect. Unfortunately, the education system's main focus was on meeting academic standards, leaving little room to address the mental health challenges these children faced. I did my best to support them both academically and emotionally. Over time, I realized what my true calling was and I resigned from teaching to pursue a graduate degree in mental health counseling.
As a psychotherapist, I believe personal growth happens when people have a safe place to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I work with individuals 18+. I have been a counselor for 9 years and opened up my private practice over 6 years ago. I am here to guide you on your journey to healing and self-discovery.
I specialize in helping adults and young adults manage anxiety disorders, panic attacks, chronic stress, and burnout using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches. I also support clients experiencing depression, trauma-related symptoms, and life transitions that feel overwhelming or hard to manage alone.
Many of the people I work with are functioning well but internally overwhelmed—dealing with constant worry, racing thoughts, physical symptoms of anxiety, or a persistent sense of being “on edge.” Others notice anxiety affecting their sleep, focus, relationships, or ability to relax and enjoy life.
Hello! I have been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 10 years following a fun career in the theater world. I combine clinical knowledge and skill with more creative techniques to offer a personalized experience to each of my clients. I primarily work with those who want to gain insight to their behavior and relationships, overcome anxiety or depression symptoms, and develop a stronger sense of self and confidence.
My name is Chami and I do my best to create a warm space for my clients. I got my M.Ed at Temple University, and their emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and affirming treatment is deeply rooted in my own practice. I have spent quite a bit of of my practice, working with people who struggle with things like addiction, abusive relationships, mood disorders, and trauma.
Welcome! My name is Alyssa and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I have 6+ years of experience in the field and specialize in working with adolescents/teens, adults, and elder adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal issues, substance use and more. I am trained in EMDR, DBT, and CBT but use a variety of different approaches in treatment.
I’m a warm, solution-focused, and person-centered therapist who values direct and authentic communication. My approach is grounded in respect and collaboration, working with clients to navigate challenges and build meaningful change. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing psychosis, OCD, and autism, and also have expertise in ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, BPD, and suicidal ideation. I work with clients across a range of concerns, including grief, relationship struggles, men’s and women’s issues, and PTSD. Searching for therapists in Doylestown starts with finding someone whose experience matches what you want support with. You may be looking for help with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, work stress, or a life transition. As you compare Doylestown therapists, look for training and specialties that fit your needs, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, couples therapy, or support for specific concerns. Reading a therapist’s profile can also show how they describe their approach, what sessions may focus on, and who they often work with.
In a smaller market like Doylestown, local appointment options may be more limited than in larger Pennsylvania cities. Virtual therapy can expand your choices across Bucks County while keeping care connected to your schedule and preferences. You may want to compare therapists by appointment availability, whether they are accepting new patients, in-person or virtual session options, and free phone consultation availability. Provider bios can help you assess communication style and practical fit before you choose a therapist in Bucks County.
Therapy in Doylestown can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before you book. Headway helps you find therapists who match your needs, accept a wide range of insurance plans, and offer clear cost estimates after you enter your insurance details. You can browse profiles, compare virtual and in-person options, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're experiencing or worried about violence, threats, or coercion in your relationship, couples therapy isn't usually the right starting point — individual support is safer. The National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
