Great to meet you!

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Art from the University of North Texas and my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Specialization in Art Therapy from Prescott College. Before becoming an Art Therapist, I was a public-school Art Teacher for 19 years. I over 7 years of mental health counseling experience and have extensive experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health needs and diagnoses.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is person-centered and strength-based and focuses on the whole person when creating and working towards personal goals. My role is both an ally and witness as clients navigate different life experiences and personal struggles. My process-centered approach encourages exploration and processing of thoughts, feelings, and challenges faced. I meet clients where they are in their journey and work collaboratively with them to address the unique needs of each client.

What you can expect from me

Creating and holding a safe space for my clients is central to my practice and is a critical aspect of allowing clients to engage in authentic self-expression and opening a path towards self-efficacy, empowerment, and healing. As a therapist, I am not the expert, rather a partner in one’s journey towards healing and self-discovery. I offer a warm, compassionate and authentic environment where clients feel accepted, respected, and cared for.
