Great to meet you!

You may be here because you're exhausted from carrying the weight of trauma, grief, anxiety, a difficult relationship, or a major life transition. Perhaps you're struggling to trust yourself after abuse, navigating a painful divorce, feeling stuck in codependent patterns, or trying to rebuild after a significant loss. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't have to face it alone.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than 20 years of experience helping adults move from surviving to healing. I specialize in working with individuals recovering from trauma, abuse, domestic violence, codependency, grief, and relationship challenges. Together, we'll explore the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck while building the tools and confidence needed to move forward.

My goal is to create a supportive, compassionate space where you feel genuinely understood and empowered to make meaningful changes. Therapy is not about fixing what's "wrong" with you. It's about helping you reconnect with your strengths, heal from painful experiences, and create the life and relationships you want.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be personalized, collaborative, and practical. Every person comes to therapy with a unique story, which is why I tailor my approach to fit your goals, needs, and life experiences.

My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, and solution-focused approaches. Together, we'll identify patterns that are contributing to emotional distress, develop healthier coping strategies, and build skills that create lasting change outside of our sessions.

While I provide compassion and support, I also help clients gain insight, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and take meaningful steps toward healing. My clients often tell me they appreciate having a therapist who is both understanding and practical, offering a balance of validation and actionable tools.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've never worked with a therapist before. My goal is to make the first session feel comfortable, supportive, and productive.

During our first meeting, we'll discuss what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to accomplish. I'll take time to understand your history, current circumstances, strengths, and concerns while giving you space to share at a pace that feels comfortable.

You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how I work. By the end of our first session, you'll leave with a clearer understanding of your goals, an initial plan for treatment, and a sense of whether we're a good fit for working together. Building trust is important, and we'll move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
