Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling and Disability Studies from Langston University. I have 6 years of clinical experience working with teens, also, teens in transition to adulthood, college students, women, men, and single mom's in addition to single dad's reconnect to their true selves. Trauma causes a disconnect from our true selves and in order to heal we must reconnect. I work with client's who have experienced unprocessed traumas, depression and anxiety to name a few, and I assist them with reconnecting to their true authentic selves. I am available to help guide and support you during your healing journey. If you are navigating peer pressures, individual struggles, parenting issues, grief and life's transitions our work can create a healing process.

My approach to therapy

My holistic, focus is evidence based practice, skills, techniques, and strategies that have been proven to work through experimental research studies. I focus on the strengths based family systems such as, focusing on true self, mindfulness, self care, and helping client's develop tools that will enable them to maneuver in today's world. My work can also, help to empower client's to become cognizant of producing assertive communication skills and develop ways to advocate for themselves in a healthy and effective manner.

What you can expect from me

Increased self-awareness, improved coping mechanisms, and enhanced emotional regulation. They can also gain tools for better communication, healthier relationships, and a greater sense of empowerment to navigate life's challenges. Additionally, my therapeutic techniques can help clients develop a stronger sense of self and a more positive outlook. Focus, on mindfulness, and can also, equip them with the tools to advocate for themselves. I am transparent and nonjudgmental and my empathy for others and passionate personality is what led me to pursue counseling. I find pleasure in helping others face their challenges, gain confidence, learn and also, implement healthy lifelong skills and techniques in which they can utilize during trying times.
