Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Dania, a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with nearly 10 years of experience providing individual counseling across the lifespan. As a bilingual counselor, I provide culturally responsive care in both English and Spanish. In addition to my clinical work, I supervise associate-level counselors, supporting them as they build confidence, competence, and clarity in their professional journey.

My primary area of expertise is trauma recovery—a field I’ve devoted the past six years to and my secondary area of practice being general life struggles. I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults impacted by abuse and trauma. Beyond trauma-focused care, I also help clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Life Transitions
  • Relational conflict
  • Balancing life’s stressors and demands
  • Grief and loss
  • Anxiety and depression

Outside of the counseling room, I’m also a wife and mom to my son Micah (2)—who keeps life full of joy, laughter, and a healthy dose of chaos. Our family wouldn’t be complete without our sweet puppy named Chandler. We are an active family that enjoys adventures and fun. Balancing the roles of mother, partner, and professional gives me a deeper appreciation for the complexities of everyday life, and it often informs the compassion and real-world perspective I bring to my work with clients.

My approach to therapy

I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), two evidence-based approaches central to my work. I also use approaches such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as well. My counseling style is lighthearted, direct when needed and humorous at times. I believe that everyone already has strengths and resources that get lost in the chaos of life, and through a supportive, open and compassionate environment, I can help clients feel connected with those strengths and resources again to face life challenges and take meaningful steps towards healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a session that is both structured and supportive. I provide a safe space where you can be heard without judgment. I assist clients in accessing their pre-established strengths and resources, and offer tools, new insights and a deeper understanding of your patterns, strengths, and options for change.

Whether we’re working through trauma, navigating life transitions, or building healthier relationships, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and capable of creating meaningful change in your life. You won’t just feel listened to—you’ll feel challenged, encouraged, and supported every step of the way.
