Great to meet you!

Erica Ploski understands that starting counseling can feel intimidating, and she is committed to creating a supportive, comfortable space where clients can move at their own pace. She views therapy as a collaborative journey, where you are an active partner in your growth and healing.

Erica takes the time to truly listen, helping clients identify their strengths and build upon them. She brings experience in several specialized areas, including divorce-related counseling, bariatric pre- and post-surgical evaluations and support, and reproductive mental health, including infertility, pregnancy loss, surrogacy screenings, and perinatal care.

My approach to therapy

Erica’s approach is both reflective and goal-oriented. She encourages clients to explore meaningful questions such as what they want for their future, what motivates them, and their readiness for change. This helps guide the therapeutic process in a way that is personalized and purposeful.

She uses a strengths-based approach, combining counseling and coaching techniques to support growth, resilience, and lasting change. Erica believes in meeting clients where they are, while gently encouraging progress—even when it feels uncomfortable—to help them move toward the life they envision.

What you can expect from me

Initial consultations are conducted by our intake team rather than directly with a provider to ensure faster scheduling. During this brief call, our administrative staff will answer general (non-clinical) questions, collect basic information, and help match you with the most appropriate provider.

While you may request a specific provider, pre-appointment consultation calls with clinicians are not available. All clinical discussions, recommendations, and treatment planning will take place during your scheduled appointment.

This process allows us to prioritize direct patient care while offering timely access to services.

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where they can begin to share their story at their own pace. Erica focuses on building trust and creating a sense of partnership from the start.

This session will include exploring your current concerns, goals, and motivations, while also helping you feel more at ease with the therapy process. Erica works to ease any fears or uncertainty, helping you feel supported and empowered as you begin your journey toward change and healing.
