Great to meet you!

I like to think of myself as the metropolitan psychologist with a southern flair! I've developed a style of working with people that is a beautiful marriage of my extensive training, dynamic personality, and passion for helping folx actualize their best selves. I am a clinical psychologist by training and a Pennsylvania-certified school psychologist. With a specialized interest and training in human sexuality, I am also an AASECT-certified sex therapist, or clinical sexologist.

My approach to therapy

As a psychologist, my goal is to support you in navigating the various challenges that life may bring. As we partner to identify, dismantle, rebuild, and reintegrate healthy mechanisms to help you navigate the world around you. I believe relationships are paramount in our lives. When we struggle with relationships - whether it is with significant others, family members, or ourselves - we often experience distress. My role is to serve as an outside point of reference to help you see various dynamics that are impacting current interpersonal relationships. I tend to be both solution-oriented, and mindful of the various systems that impact how we develop solutions to what impacts us.

What you can expect from me

I like to work myself out of a job with clients. As we identify goals together, we will develop a path forward to reaching them together. I’m looking forward to S.H.I.F.T.ing with you in the time we have: Skull Session (consultation where we brain dump what is going on and how we might be a good fit), Harvest (Intake 1-3 sessions, where I look to get more information about what is going on and the impact it’s having to effectively conceptualize potential treatment goals), Inventory/Intervention {Initial assessment tools to get a baseline, and quantitative understanding of the presenting issue(s)}, Forward Movement (Continued treatment planning and actual work towards goals) and Toolbox Takeaways (assessing skillset developed throughout treatment and graduate). At the end of our work, clients will feel confident in S.H.I.F.T.ing by having what they need to say “I can Shape How I Feel Today.”
