Great to meet you!
Every person possess a capacity for Self-Healing which can become blocked, weakened or disrupted by stress, trauma, physical illness and injures. Our ability to "bounce back" and recover comes from a strong nervous system and immune function and neuro-plasticity – our brain's and body's flexibility, adaptability and resilience. -- Our "Bounce."
-
In physical health, "plasticity" refers to being moldable, flexible, and adaptable, and resilient. Stress and trauma can make us more RIGID and reduce our ability to stretch (grow), bend (adapt), and evolve or adjust to others and our environment.
-
STRESS FACTS
We have been taught to minimize stress because its effects can remain hidden until they erupt in serious physical and psychological disorders and diseases.
-
Stress can overwhelm and lock-up our adaptability and drain us of optimism and the energies which make life flow like water, music, the soothing voice of a friend.
Stress can imbalance ("dysregulate") brain and nervous system function, making it difficult to regain your balance, your energy, and your ability to bounce-back from stress, illness or injury.
