Great to meet you!

Reaching out for mental health care can be hard, especially if you have felt dismissed, rushed, or misunderstood in the past. I want you to know that I take a different approach. I believe people do best when they feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.

I work with adolescents age 13 and up, as well as adults, and I enjoy helping people make sense of what they are going through in a way that feels supportive and practical. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, stress, or just feeling unlike yourself, my goal is to create a space where you can speak openly and feel comfortable being honest about what is really going on.

I see mental health care as a partnership. You are the expert on your experience, and I bring clinical knowledge to help guide the process. Together, we work toward a plan that feels realistic, thoughtful, and aligned with your goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I do not believe in rushing people, making assumptions, or forcing a plan that does not feel right. I take time to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and understand the full picture before making recommendations.

I want clients to feel that they are part of the process, not being talked at or pushed into decisions. Treatment should feel like something we build together. That may include medication, lifestyle changes, therapy support, coping tools, or simply taking time to better understand patterns before deciding on next steps.

My focus is on creating care that feels grounded, clear, and manageable. I want clients to leave sessions feeling more understood, more informed, and more hopeful about where things can go from here.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. It is a chance for me to get to know you, understand what has been weighing on you, and hear what you are hoping will be different. We will talk about your current concerns, relevant history, and what has or has not worked for you in the past.

You can expect me to ask questions, but also to truly listen. My goal is not just to gather information, but to understand your experience in a way that helps us decide on a path forward together. By the end of the session, we will begin shaping a plan that feels practical and personalized to you.

Most of all, I want the first session to feel like a relief. You do not need to have the right words or have everything figured out before you come in. You just need a place to start.
