I am a licensed mental health counselor. I work adult clients in private practice setting
Many of the clients I work with look like they are holding everything together, but inside they feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in painful patterns. I support teens, adults, couples, and families in Tukwila, Renton, Burien, Seatac, Federal Way, Kent, and across Washington through telehealth. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, low self-esteem, grief, relationship conflict, family stress, and major life transitions. My style is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and practical.
I'm a trilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Portuguese & Spanish). I earned my BA in Psychology from the University of Washington and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University. I provide therapy services in-person and via telehealth to individuals (18+) struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma issues, OCD, DID, self-esteem, self-harm, and grief and loss.

Hello! It's great to meet you. I'm Autumn Halliwell, a psychotherapist and clinical social worker. I work with clients who are facing significant life changes, experiencing mood disorders, working through trauma and its impact, or just need some help finding some insight in the moment. I identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+, kink, and polyamorous communities.
I believe therapy should feel safe, human, and supportive—not cold or clinical. I’m a licensed therapist who genuinely cares about the people I work with, and I see you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis or a problem to fix. Whether you’re coming in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected in your relationship, or unsure where to start, you’re welcome here exactly as you are. I work with teens (13+) and adults, individuals and couples, and I value honesty, compassion, and real connection in the therapy space. My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered in your growth.
Hello! To schedule a free consultation as a prospective new client, please email me directly at [email protected].
I've been in human services for nearly 30 years, and helping people heal, grow, and evolve is my passion and purpose. I started my career in teaching, and transitioned to counseling about 20 years ago. I have additional training in clinical hypnotherapy and energy/shamanic healing, which informs my work with clients (but is not covered by insurance). I consider myself a holistic therapist, and love it when clients want to include spiritual topics in their plan for mental and emotional wellness.
I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing for over 25 years. After getting my Masters in Social Work in 2000, I spent many years working in medical social work, helping people who were living with chronic health conditions. I also have worked in hospice and am able to provide support with grief and loss, as well as emotional support for family caregivers. I offer a safe space to process difficult emotions, as well as stress reduction through mindfulness.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Seattle starts with getting clear on what you're looking for. Consider the concerns you want to address — whether that's anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or stress related to work or life changes. From there, look for a licensed provider (such as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or psychologist) who has experience with those specific areas. Reading a provider's bio can give you a sense of their style and approach before you reach out.
Seattle has a large number of practicing therapists, which can make narrowing your options feel overwhelming. Focusing on a few practical factors can help: location or whether you prefer virtual sessions, the provider's specialty, and whether they accept your insurance plan. Many providers on Headway offer both in-person and virtual sessions, and you can review detailed profiles to find someone who fits your preferences and schedule.
Therapy in Seattle can be expensive, but using in-network insurance coverage is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay per session. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans. You can enter your insurance details on Headway to confirm coverage and see an estimated session cost before you book. Many patients pay as little as $0 per session, depending on their plan.
