Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jeff — founder of Severance Psychotherapy. I’m a Texas-based psychotherapist licensed in 25 states, am an LCDC, Advanced Drug & Alcohol Counselor, and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST). I specialize in helping folks navigate addiction, manage ADHD, and explore sexuality in a way that feels safe, affirming, and connected — whether you’re flying solo or in a relationship.

While, I work with individuals and couples in all types of relationships, including monogamous, consensual non-monogamous (CNM), and polyamorous dynamics, and addiction, our clinicians bring a variety of lived experiences and specialties to meet you where you are.

We’d love to support you on your journey — come see what we’re about!

My approach to therapy

I specialize in sex therapy, substance and alcohol use disorders, non-traditional relationships, LGBTQIA+ concerns, couples counseling, ADHD, and sexual exploration. My approach blends CBT, DBT, interpersonal psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and sex therapy to meet your unique needs.

I’m all about creating a safe, collaborative space where we can unpack challenges, deepen connections, and support your growth. Together, we’ll work toward a life that feels more fulfilling, empowered, and unapologetically you.

What you can expect from me

Finding the right person to share your story with can feel a little daunting — and that’s totally okay. But you don’t have to do it alone. Therapy works best as a team effort, and together we’ll build a partnership grounded in trust, collaboration, and real talk.

I bring positivity, warmth, and a bit of humor into each session, because growth doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. Taking that first step toward therapy is already a win — and I’m here to help you keep moving forward, both in and outside the therapy room.
