Great to meet you!

I am a Latinx therapist committed to providing culturally sensitive, trauma based, and LGBTQ+ affirming care. I believe that healing happens in spaces where you feel seen, respected, and understood—not just as an individual, but within the context of your culture, identity, and lived experiences.

My approach is rooted in recognizing how culture, family systems, intergenerational experiences, and systemic stress can shape mental health. I work with clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions, with particular attention to the unique challenges faced by Latinx communities.

As a trauma-informed therapist, I prioritize safety, trust, and collaboration in our work together. This means moving at your pace, honoring your boundaries, and understanding how past experiences may show up in the present—emotionally, physically, and relationally. You are always in control of your story, and we approach healing in a way that feels empowering, not overwhelming.

I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress related to life transitions, relationships, identity exploration, and trauma.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). With CBT, we’ll work on identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety and depression. With DBT, I focus on building skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness—so you can better manage overwhelming emotions and relationships.

What you can expect from me

After your first session, you can expect to leave with a general sense of what therapy will feel like. In a warm, safe, and affirming environment, you may notice that you feel more at ease than anticipated—though it’s also completely normal to still feel nervous or unsure.

I will provide a safe space to share what brought you in, at your own pace, without pressure to disclose everything at once. We will focus on building trust first. We will also discuss initial goals although you may be uncertain or currently evolving.
