Great to meet you!

Welcome! As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I believe that prioritizing mental health is one of the most important investments you can make in your overall well-being, happiness, and quality of life. Taking the first step to seek help can be difficult, so I want to commend you for being here.

I bring over 20 years of healthcare experience, including 18 years working as a nurse in mental health and substance use treatment and the past 3 years as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My practice focuses primarily on psychiatric evaluation and medication management, helping individuals find safe, effective treatment options tailored to their unique needs and goals.

I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. I understand that finding the right medication can sometimes feel overwhelming, and I work closely with my patients to develop personalized treatment plans, monitor progress, manage side effects, and make thoughtful adjustments along the way. My goal is to help you achieve meaningful symptom improvement while optimizing your overall quality of life.

In addition to my psychiatric training, I am an IAPAM Certified Weight Management Provider and a Certified Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Provider. This additional expertise allows me to recognize the important connection between mental health, physical health, sleep, hormones, and overall wellness, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care when appropriate.

My goal is to help you gain symptom relief, improve daily functioning, and develop a sustainable path toward long-term emotional wellness and stability.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered. I believe that the best outcomes occur when we work together as a team to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, values, and lifestyle. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns openly and honestly.

I take a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing that factors such as sleep, stress, physical health, hormones, nutrition, and life circumstances can significantly impact emotional well-being. During our appointments, I take the time to listen, understand your unique experiences, and provide education so you can make informed decisions about your care.

Whether you are seeking support for a new concern or have been struggling for years, I am committed to meeting you where you are and helping you move toward lasting wellness and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you as a person—not just your symptoms. I understand that meeting with a new mental health provider can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns at your own pace.

We will spend time discussing what brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, personal history, previous treatment experiences, medical history, and any goals you hope to achieve. I take a comprehensive approach to assessment, recognizing that factors such as stress, sleep, physical health, relationships, work, and life experiences can all impact mental well-being.

By the end of our first appointment, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and hopeful about the path forward. Together, we will develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, referrals for therapy, or other supportive interventions based on your unique needs.

Most importantly, I want you to leave our first session with a better understanding of your symptoms, a clear plan for next steps, and the confidence that you have a partner in your mental health journey.
