Great to meet you!

I take an active role in therapy and typically don't do the minimalistic responses - though there is a time and place for this. I like to have conversational-style dialogue with clients, and feel that I am open and empathic while bringing in humor and "realness" to the session; I show up as my true self as much as possible.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University, and my MS in Counseling Psychology from SMU. I hold advanced training in EMDR, ART, Brainspotting, Trauma Conscious Yoga Method, and others. I am an expert in treating trauma with medication-assisted psychotherapy and have completed numerous trainings in training from MAPS PBC, as well as a year-long fellowship in with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (Headway does not allow these on their platform).

I am licensed in over 15 states and am a board-approved Associate counselor supervisor in multiple states as well, where I oversee the required supervised hours of associate-level counselors working towards their full licensure status.

In my non-therapy time, I enjoy cooking (and eating - I'm a bit of a foodie), concerts, reading, traveling, being outside, pilates (all hail the reformer!), and playing golf with my husband. We live in Austin, TX.

My approach to therapy

Holistic and integrative, existential and experimental. I like to incorporate different modalities and frameworks, and find it's important to let clients know the "why" and the "what" behind the process.

While my graduate work was done at non-secular universities, I identify as agnostic, though I fully welcome your faith in our sessions if that is something that speaks to you. My personal views on religion and politics will not be imposed upon you, and will remain within me unless you ask, in which case I will openly answer.

What you can expect from me

Contemplative questions about self, a new tool, helpful information, validation, a feeling of "I'm not alone, and I'm not crazy".
