Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Lindsey and I am excited to have you here. I have been licensed as a professional counselor since 2013 and I have been in private practice since 2016. I encourage you to focus on caring yourself so I employ that in my life as well. Cooking, running, yoga, and being with friends and family is how I ensure that I am my best for you each session.

My approach to therapy

I like to use an eclectic approach and draw from models like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Insight Oriented Therapy, and last but not least, Person-Centered Therapy. I am also trained in a super cool treatment called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Finally, I have been trained as a trauma-informed yoga teacher and believe that being in tune with our body can also be an important source for healing.

What you can expect from me

Creating a safe environment for you is most important and it is not the interventions I use in our sessions but the relationship we build that creates change. Humor is essential to our relationship as well so I hope that we can laugh during our time together!
