Great to meet you!

My goal as a counselor is to support you on your journey of self-discovery by taking a stance of curiosity—recognizing that you are the expert of your own life. I typically work with young adults, children, and families focusing on navigating life transitions, anxiety and mood management, and relational work, including relationship to self. I'm a graduate of Mount Mary University with a MS in Professional Counseling, Concentration in Clinical Mental Health.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Counseling partnerships must begin with relationship-building to create a foundation of trust and warmth. I seek to help clients be curious and compassion towards themselves by helping clients uncover patterns and themes that guide their daily and life choices. I utilize family systems, attachment, narrative, and cognitive behavioral therapy to guide my intervention practices with children, families, and individual adults.

What you can expect from our first session

In my role as counselor, I balance logic (treatment planning, goal-setting, and action steps) with creativity and empathy, taking a holistic view of the person. I also believe in the importance of utilizing practices that are trauma-responsive and strengths-based. It is important that you choose a counselor who feels like a good fit for you and your goals and I welcome any inquiries about what working with me would look like.
