Great to meet you!

I am a warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental clinician who cares about those who show up for therapy. I am inquisitive, curious and direct in challenging thoughts and behavior that get in the way of living a happy, fulfilling life. I encourage individuals, couples and families to lean into/draw strength from their spiritual and/or religious beliefs. I enjoy and encourage utilizing the gift of humor to enrich one’s life.

I enjoy working with college students. I am also an AAMFT Approved Supervisor for college students seeking supervision. (I would not be able to provide therapy and AAMFT Supervision to a client - as that would be a "dual" relationship).

My approach to therapy

The first phase in therapy is to establish a positive, trusting, therapeutic relationship with those who show up for therapy, often in pain, and want to make healthy changes in their lives. The second phase is to assist with mutually identifying goals that will help address areas of change. The third phase is to process, challenge and practice replacing inhibiting thoughts and behaviors. The fourth phase, once goals have been achieved, is to schedule a positive, healthy, termination of services to continue to practice and utilize new skills and behaviors that will help create a healthier and happier life for those seeking therapy.

What you can expect from me

Those who show up and are willing to do the work both inside and outside of therapy, can expect to take away newly inspired insights to help them make new choices to practice healthier thoughts and behaviors.
