Hello my name is Nancy Alvarez. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I am bilingual, and offer therapy in Spanish and English. I graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Masters in Counseling and Bachelor's in Psychology.
My concentration is adolescents and young adults. My formal education and clinical experience has prepared me to provide mental health services to individuals, group, couples and family. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life changes, family conflicts, relationship conflicts and trauma. My approach to therapy is to collaboratively work together to set goals and find solutions together, to overcome a problem or issue.
I strive to create an environment where individuals feel welcomed, safe and understood. I offer a non-judgmental, neutral stance. You can expect to take away a better understanding of yourself, your needs and what you can improve in order to be a better version of yourself.
