Great to meet you!

Hello! I completed my Master's Degree at the University of Utah in 2005. I have worked in Mental Health settings specializing in serious mental illnesses, Veteran's issues, grief/bereavement and trauma including loss by suicide. My clients have described me as kind, a good listener and patient. My counseling sessions focus on helping those who have experienced loss and guiding them to find peace with this new reality. I also provide pet loss counseling.

My approach to therapy

I have a strengths-based and trauma-informed care approach with all clients. I am also a Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist, which is a very effective, evidenced-based program to help you work through unresolved grief. My goal is to meet you where you are at, free of judgement or criticism. We only make changes when we feel free to make those choices.

What you can expect from me

Grief is the natural and normal response to any loss. A loss is more than just a death. Losses also include divorce, pet loss, significant health changes, moving, job loss, and many more. My goal is to help each person resolve pain and suffering, instead of just ignoring it or believing that time will magically take it away. Understanding how to live with grief means we can more effectively manage the emotions we will naturally feel related to the loss. Healing is possible and I am here to help.
