Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (SC) and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (NC) with a background in psychology, exercise physiology, and holistic wellness.

I am currently accepting new client virtually and in-personal availably August 2026 at 152 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615. Contact me directly via my Psychology Today profile for consultations and scheduling.

I specialize in working with women experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, trauma-related concerns, OCD, ADHD, life transitions, relationship challenges, and difficulties with self-worth and identity. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, stuck in recurring patterns, or exhausted from constantly carrying the weight of everything around them.

My approach integrates evidence-based therapy with an understanding of how stress, emotions, relationships, and the nervous system interact.

In addition to my clinical training, I am also a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutrition Coach, which allows me to bring a deeper understanding of the connection between mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing into my work.

I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken, but understanding the patterns that developed to help you survive and creating space for new ways of relating to yourself and your life. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to explore their experiences with curiosity rather than judgment.

I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, attachment-based therapy, mindfulness, self-compassion, and somatic (body-based) interventions. I also incorporate Polyvagal Theory and nervous system education to help clients better understand how stress and past experiences impact emotions, relationships, behaviors, and overall wellbeing.

Together, we will explore the underlying patterns contributing to current challenges while building practical skills to support emotional regulation, resilience, self-awareness, and lasting change. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves so they can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together.

We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant life experiences, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I'll ask questions to better understand your history, strengths, relationships, coping strategies, and the challenges you're currently facing.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. There is no pressure to tell your entire story in the first session. Instead, we focus on understanding where you are right now, identifying what feels most important, and beginning to develop a plan that aligns with your goals.

Clients often leave the first session with greater clarity about their challenges, a better understanding of how therapy can help, and a sense of what working together will look like moving forward. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and less alone in what you're carrying.
