Sally Ann Ring

My name is Sally Ring. In my former career, I was a grade-school teacher for 15 years. After, I became a Substance Use Counselor for the next 16 years. I have been working as a Mental Health Therapist since 2021.

I have a MA from University of Washington in Special Education with a focus on behavior disorders and learning disabilities. Also, a BA from CWU in Early Childhood Education, and am a certified LMHC and SUDP. I continue to take classes to learn new techniques for treatment.

My approach to therapy is eclectic; meaning I use a wide variety of techniques. The client is always in charge of the issues they choose to address with me and how they address them. Treatment techniques I have used include talk therapy, psychodrama or role play, CBT, strength-based therapy, reading, journaling, art therapy, and looking for patterns in family dynamics compared to present life. I do what I think is in your best interest. My key philosophy is Transactional Analysis.

I am eager to meet you and support you achieving your therapy goals. Life might be tough right now, and my goal is to help you learn easier ways to live. What I expect from you is to show up weekly, be honest and speak your truth (even if you disagree with me or get mad at me, that's okay.) I am willing to go where you need to go with your feelings, thoughts, and needs. You are not too much for me. We are a team, and I am passionate about you getting your needs met.
