Great to meet you!

I am a master's level trauma and attachment therapist offering a warm and consistent space for clients navigating depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, trauma, relational wounds and the long‐term impact of overwhelming experiences. During my eight-year second career, I have integrated evidence‐based treatments like DBT and TF‐CBT and added somatic practices to create a deeply-attuned and relational style that allows clients to feel understood, supported and capable of meaningful change.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent 22 years as a journalist, a background that honed my ability to listen deeply, ask precise and attuned questions, analyze complex narrative and hold emotionally-charged stories with respect. These skills now strengthen my clinical work, allowing me to identify patterns with clarity and support clients in reconstructing their narratives with agency and coherence.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by stress, relationship challenges, family conflict, work‐life imbalance and/or the effects of past or present trauma, you deserve a place where your experiences are met with compassion and grounded clinical care. Many people carry developmental or generational trauma wounds without realizing how deeply these experiences shape their sense of self, boundaries and their ability to trust or feel connected.

Together, we’ll build skills that support emotional regulation, reduce distress and challenge unhelpful beliefs - while strengthening your capacity for secure attachment, self‐compassion and healthier relational patterns. Because trauma lives in both the mind and body, I assist clients in noticing and gently shifting the physiological responses that have kept them feeling on edge, shut down and overwhelmed.

Healing isn’t about erasing the past - it’s about understanding your story, reconnecting with your body and developing tools that help you feel grounded and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in a blend of lived experience, deep attunement, somatic‐informed practices and evidence‐based trauma work.

One of my greatest strengths as a trauma and attachment therapist is my ability to genuinely connect with people from all backgrounds. I’m naturally curious about others’ lived experiences and I bring a grounded understanding of trauma because I’ve walked that path myself- from survivor to someone who has done the slow, disorienting, profoundly human work of healing.

My own history with developmental trauma deeply shapes the way I practice. I know what it means to sit with fear, grief, shame and the painstaking rebuilding of trust. Because of that, I bring a level of steadiness, attunement, and non‐judgment that clients often feel immediately. I don’t approach trauma from the outside looking in - I understand it on a body‐level - and that informs the compassion and clarity I bring into the room.

Alongside that lived experience, I rely heavily on trauma‐informed, evidence‐based models such as TF‐CBT, DBT, IFS and somatic and attachment‐focused work. I believe in the power of pairing structure with humanity - using research‐supported interventions while honoring each client’s pace, cultural context and internal wisdom. My own healing gives me confidence in the process and a deep respect for the courage it takes to do this work.

Ultimately, my approach is relational, trauma‐responsive and grounded in the belief that change is not just possible- it’s something I’ve witnessed, supported and personally lived.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a steady, structured and collaborative conversation focused on understanding what brings you in and what you hope will feel different in your life through our work together.

I’ll ask about your history, current symptoms and the patterns you’ve noticed - moving at a pace that feels manageable for you. I’ll also share how I work - what evidence‐based trauma treatment looks like, how we’ll track progress and what safety and stability mean in this space.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a sense of the roadmap we might follow together and whether this feels like the right fit for your needs.
