Great to meet you!

I'm Symone Lyles (she/her/hers), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My work is grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own healing. I’m here to guide and support steady, intentional growth at a pace that feels safe and authentic.

Like a turtle with its shell, you carry your protection wherever you go. I aim to create a space that balances comfort and challenge through connection, humor, and honesty while supporting you to come out of your shell.

My goal is to help clients develop greater awareness, resilience, and alignment between who they are and how they want to show up in the world.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a team effort, you bring your experiences, and I bring tools, perspective, and a space that’s just for you. My style is open, honest, and sprinkled with a bit of humor. We’ll work together to understand what’s getting in the way and explore new ways to move forward. I’m here to help you feel grounded, confident, and supported as you work toward what you want for yourself.

I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support lasting, sustainable change. My areas of focus include anxiety, life transitions, perfectionism, and developing healthier relationships, with others and with yourself.

I specialize in working with athletes, adolescents, and high-level professionals who often feel pressure to perform or maintain composure. In therapy, I provide a space to set aside those expectations and focus on authentic growth and personal goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where the focus is entirely on you. You don’t need to have the perfect words or even know exactly where to start. I will meet you where you are and together we'll explore what brought you to therapy. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and paced in a way that feels steady, empowering, and guided by curiosity to help you better understand yourself and your path forward.

By the end of the first session, my hope is that you feel heard, supported, and a little lighter. We’ll start creating a roadmap for moving forward, whether that means learning new coping strategies, unpacking past experiences, or simply having a space to process life as it is right now.
