Great to meet you!

I specialize in practice with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer+ people. I use an approach that is solution-focused and person-centered that helps clients remain goal-focused, construct meaningful solutions, identify appropriate community resources, and engage in respectful and collaborative dialogue.

My approach to therapy

I have been a clinical social worker for nearly 20 years and came to this work out of my own experience looking for people who were LGBTQ+ affirming. I am pragmatic and solution-focused and enjoy working with people to increase their social support, connect with like-minded others, and find solutions that are relevant to them.

What you can expect from me

The first session is typically about getting to know you. I ask several standard questions to understand your background and history. The first session is also your opportunity to get to know me and my style. Not every match is a perfect match, so the first session is your opportunity to find out who I am. It's okay if you ultimately decide to find another match; learning who we are and what we need is part of the healing journey.
